Who We Are

We are individuals who wish to make a positive difference in the lives of Latinos living on the greater Eastside, by helping to fill a civic leadership void for Latinos in this geographic area. We include longtime residents and recent arrivals, from a variety of Latino cultures and diverse language and occupational backgrounds.

Our Mission

To empower Eastside Latinos through networking, education, and training

How Did the Latino Leadership Forum Get Started?

The nonprofit organization Advance Bellevue, as part of its diversity initiative for the greater Bellevue Eastside and communities, convened a series of open public meetings to facilitate discussion of community leadership needs. Advance Bellevue initiated these public meetings for the Latino and African American communities, among others.

What Have We Done?

We have decided to concentrate our efforts in several areas, and have formed committees in:

  • Education and training
  • Access to social and community services for Latinos
  • Health care access
  • Voter registration
  • Networking
  • Communications
