ELLF has developed a scholarship fund to provide financial assistance to Latino students attending community colleges or 4-year university in Washington State.
Latinos are the fastest growing ethnic group in the nation and in the state of Washington (7.5 percent of the population as of the 2000 census), and the percentage of Latino college students is also quickly rising. However, because of financial constraints, many Latino students are unable to enroll or remain in college. To qualify for an ELLF scholarship, students must have at least a 2.50 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) to apply and be enrolled in an accredited college or university. Award amounts normally will range from $250 to $1,000. Click here to fill out a scholarship application. Since the ELLF Scholarship Fund is managed and disbursed by Eastside Latino Leadership Forum, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization, donations are tax-deductible. Please make your donation payable to Eastside Latino Leadership Forum. In addition, ELLF maintains a list of nationwide scholarship opportunities for Latino students. Please click here to view the list of available scholarships. This list will be updated on a regular basis. |
